I was born in Tokat, Turkey on October 27, 1996. I have been living in Istanbul, Turkey since 2014. I got my bachelor’s degree from the Istanbul University, Department of American Culture and Literature in June 2018. I have been working as a proofreader and translator for 2 years in a translation company, located in Kadikoy/Istanbul. While working as a translator and proofreader, I have attended a translation workshop so far. The translation workshop is organized by Ithaki Academy, known as Ithaki Publishing as well, and the instructor of the workshop, Çiğdem Erkal İpek, is the translator of many known books, especially “The Lord of the Rings” and many other books of Ursula Le Guin. At that time, I have translated articles from both Turkish-English and English-Turkish voluntarily for Gaia Magazine. I have been working in the position of Freelance Turkish Translator for wikiHow Inc., located in the USA, since May 2018.
