Resident Engineer/Construction Manager (2014 – 2017) CHEVRON: installation of 2 CFC separator Units 821/822 and Induced Gas Flotation IGF-833 / 834A with all facilities, auxiliary equipment and control systems in the Dehydrated Plant PLD- 3, Boscan Oil Field, which included the following:
The installation, interconnection and commissioning of two (02) CFC separators 75000 BPD each (API 821/822),
two (02) Vessels Induced Gas Flotation (IGF) 75000 BPD each (IGF-833 / 834A), six Preloading pumps, each BPD 30000 (P-859-864).
Energization of the equipment through the installation of package of Switch Gears, Power Distribution Center, Motor Control Center and TXs.
The Project involved the construction of concrete foundations, pipe installation, the electrical and instrumental routing, connection and calibration.
This contract was the outcome of the previous successful project, now with more complexities that involved adapting the design onsite to the realities of the existing plant that had to be integrated with new equipment to expand it into a larger plant with more process capacity. This represented a great challenge to maintain CHEVRON’s production and complete on time.
The multidisciplinary oil & gas project required great integration with the client externally and internally with the departments of HSE, QS, HHRR, Procurement and Production. This contract was value approximately USD 19 MM and required 130 craft worker at its peak and 30 engineers and supervisors throughout all departments.
Resident Engineer/Construction Manager (2013-2014) CHEVRON-PDVSA: Construction of the civil works of a dehydration plant that included a 1500 m3 concrete tank to hold recovered crude oil, rain water drains system and its access road. Built in the highly controlled and aggressive environment of an operating oil plant.
This was a contract located in Campo Boscan, Venezuela. A project valued for USD 3 MM that allowed establishing a base of operation in the area. The success of the work ensured long-term relationship with the client and its partners.
Resident Engineer/Construction Manager (2012) Bridges and Viaducts: The construction of a Highway Distributor, a contract awarded to the firm by the Zulia State Governors’ office that included the ramps, the foundations, the bridge structure, the pavement and illumination system.
Resident Engineer/Construction Manager (2011) Civil Infrastructure:
Construction of a package of public infrastructure that included: sewer systems and aqueducts, asphalt roads pavement and rain water drains located all over the state of Zulia in Venezuela. 2011.
Resident Engineer/Construction Manager (2009-2010) Structural and Building Renovation: Edificio Torre 2073 (Maracaibo, Venezuela). A Total restoration of an existing 11 stories office building with an area of 8000 m2, changing the entire distribution, renewing all the components that made this building. Construction awarded by the Construction Chamber of the State of Zulia as the Construction of the Year 2010.
Resident Engineer/Construction Manager (2008): Residential complex “Villas Coral Paraiso” (Ciudad Ojeda, Edo Zulia, Venezuela). Construction of 12 houses 141 mts2 with all the finnishes each of two stories, including urbanism, with a total of 4000 m2 of construction.
Resident Engineer/Construction Manager (2007): The Housing Development “Los Cortijos” (San Francisco, Edo. Zulia, Venezuela). Construction of 56 houses built using shotcrete on expanded polystyrene for thermal insulation and energy efficiency.
