The final 2017 round of invitations under the B.C. PNP Tech Pilot will take place on December 18, British Columbia immigration officials have advised.
Draws are made weekly under the immigration stream that prioritizes processing for 32 specialist technology occupations that are in demand by employers in the province. It was launched earlier in 2017, with the first tech-only draw made on June 14.
The weekly draws will resume in the first week of January 2018, a statement from the province said.
The BC PNP Tech Pilot prioritises technology sector applications for existing B.C. categories. This means candidates still need to meet the basic requirements of each British Columbia immigration category, including a job offer from a B.C. employer.
Categories include Skilled Workers, Health Care Professionals, International Graduates, International Post-Graduates and Entry-Level and Semi-Skilled Workers.
